How we look after your information.

SmartJoy Learning (“SmartJoy”, “we”) provides live online tuition. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have. Questions: smartjoylearning@gmail.com.

What we collect

Contact and enquiry details you give us when you book a free demo or message us: parent and student names, phone or WhatsApp number, email, grade, curriculum, subject and preferred times.
Learning records needed to teach: class schedules, attendance, homework, test and assessment results, and progress notes.
Messages you send us by WhatsApp, email or phone.
Website usage: we use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how the website is used, such as which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked. This uses cookies. We do not send names, phone numbers or other personal details to Google Analytics.

How we use it

To arrange and run demo classes and lessons.
To match your child with a suitable tutor and plan.
To share progress updates, reminders and reports with parents.
To answer questions and provide support.
To improve our website and services.

We do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

Only with people and services that help us teach and run SmartJoy: our tutors and class coordinators, and the tools we use, including Google (Workspace, Apps Script forms and dashboards, Google Meet, Analytics), Zoom, WhatsApp and our website host, Hostinger. Videos on our pages are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode.

Children

Our students are children, so we collect their information through, or with the agreement of, a parent or guardian. Parents can ask to see, correct or delete their child’s information at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep learning records while your child studies with us and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can answer questions about past classes, unless you ask us to delete them earlier. Enquiries that do not lead to classes are deleted when no longer needed.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop sending you messages, by emailing smartjoylearning@gmail.com or messaging us on WhatsApp. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
